After working many years at several fish companies in Urk, the Bakker family founded Bakker Seafish in 2004. The large demand for high quality specialty fish products (by Chinese clients) motivated Bakker to set up their own fish wholesale company.

Specialized in salmon and cod

To meet the demand of its Chinese customers and fish stores, Bakker Seafish is specialized in supplying salmon and cod. Every week our salmon arrives fresh from the Norwegian Fjords, while our cod is caught daily in the North Sea. Our products are delivered fresh, smoked or frozen.

The major strength of Bakker Seafish is our ability to meet all your fish needs. Although we are specialized in salmon and cod, we also supply a wide variety of other fresh water and salt water fish. Most of our fish is purchased fresh at the fish auction in Urk, one of Europe's major fish auctions and a purveyor to the Dutch Royal Family. As fish wholesaler we supply to restaurants, wholesalers, specialty fish retailers and, starting mid-2011, when we open our Saturday fish market, we will also sell to retail shoppers.
